Jamie’s Italian Budapest
Jamie’s Italian Budapest is Jamie Oliver’s first restaurant in central Europe, located in the historic Buda Castle. The restaurant is spacious and full of light, the perfect place to enjoy a meal with friends or family, or stop in for a drink at the end of the day. The unique menu is packed with Jamie’s Italian classics, artisan pizzas, a range of draft beer, and plenty of fantastic local wines.
Jamie’s travelled extensively across Italy over the past 30 years – cooking, learning, eating and filming award-winning TV shows and writing best-selling cookbooks.
In his early days of cheffing, Jamie was mentored by some Italian greats including his best friend, Gennaro Contaldo. These experiences sparked a life-long love of Italy leading to the launch of Jamie’s Italian in 2008. A hugely successful brand, Jamie’s Italian continues to grow and evolve with Jamie as he keeps exploring his culinary heartland.

When it comes to primi, or first courses, we have gorgeous rustic Italian soups and oozy risottos, but it’s our fresh pasta that takes centre stage. Every morning our chefs make the dough using tipo ‘00’ flour and free-range eggs before shaping the pasta by hand and in our Bottene extruders. From Prawn Linguine loaded with flavours of the sea to delicate tagliatelle bolognese, we celebrate pasta in all its glory.
Jamie was taught Italian cuisine by his mentor, Gennaro:
